Birthdays Galore!

We were busy celebrating birthdays this month. Here are Noah and Cashew after a fun night in the Little Gym - HappyBirthday Noah! It seemed like all the kids had a blast running around.

Then, we headed north for Q's birthday - it was fun seeing everyone. See his eyes - doesn't he look like he's up to something? Shortly after, he grabbed the flame and put it out! Too quick for his mommy who looked away for a second. But, his fingers seemed okay as they still worked well enough to get icing in his mouth.

Future musicians getting ready for their debut duet. Here we come Juilliard!

Cashew did some training in pushing Baby S - she was going pretty fast though and we had to slow her down for Baby S's safety.

My birthday celebration turned into a sad story - the restaurant Spidey picked turned out not to be where we thought it was. We thought maybe it moved or we remembered the location wrong. But, after some circling around and investigating, we learned it had closed and was moving way south. By that time, Cashew had fallen asleep in the car so we headed back home and ate leftovers. Birthdays just aren't the same anymore :) Oh well, c'est la vie!

Spidey and Pushi had a great time at the hockey game though - even better that the hometeam won - Happy Birthday Pushi!

Ooh, we also heard about some little friends arriving in the fall - that makes 5 golden boars!

Partying with XiaoZhuZhu

Happy Birthday XiaoZhuZhu - these pics are for your parents :)

Wow, your very own cake holder.
Good thing we have vacuums...

She seems to like the idea of mashed cake better...

Proud Papas and their girl.

Here's the group picture we got - they're all in it, 2 are crying, one is on the loose and the image is blurry!
Chainwhip looks like he's doing some funky dance here.

Words to Phrases to Sentences

Cashew's been so much fun lately as the last couple months she's been talking phrases and sentences - so neat to have a conversation with her. Although it makes for interesting breakfast choices - she's asked for tofu and chicken on separate occasions! And she's telling us what she wants to do and the things she doesn't want to do. It's so amazing to see her mind constructing sentences. Today Spidey and I were talking in the kitchen - he was asking me where her container of kiwi was cause he couldn't find it. Next thing we knew, she ran over to a different room, got it, brought to us and told us 'kiwi here'. Note to selves - she is listening to everything. One night when we were reading her stories, she got up and said 'I get pink blanket first okay?' First, she knew it was missing from her room and second, thank goodness she has manners :)

Finally we got Cashew to keep her ponytails in her hair long enough to take a picture. Too bad it looks like there's only one :)

Here's a better look - Cashew's checking herself out - hmm - she must take after her daddy.
Anyone else want to join me in this bucket? Anyone? Anyone?

Wouldn't it be nice to have someone sitting next to me?

Just strolling around the kitchen with my bags...oh happy day...except not enough hands to carry all the bags...
Maybe this scooter will help me find a playmate sooner... Oh, here are some friends who also came out bowling...

So, I asked mama and baba and I will have someone to always play with soon...
